Villarreal star Senna happy for Guerreiro

Spanish star Marcos Senna admits his joy for that compatriots Roger Guerreiro and Marcos Pizzelli decided to play for a foreign national team like him.

Spanish hero
Champion league competitor for Spanish Giants Villarreal, Marcos Senna says he was very happy to hear before the UEFA EURO 2008 that Roger Guerreiro received a Polish citizenship. Senna, like Guerreiro chose to represent another country rather then the colors of Brazil, and has since been called as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and a European 2008 champion. “I’m very happy for my good friend Roger, as well for my other countryman, Marcos Pizzelli who decided to play for Armenia. I think that they brought to the teams of these countries, a new quality, and gave the people a little joy from their game. That’s how we Brazilians are.” smiled the 2008 Spanish European hero.

Better career
Marcos Senna also mentions that Villarreal helped him much with his career, as Legia Warsaw did for Roger Guerreiro. “Of course they helped. Before I came to Villarreal I wasn’t that big of a star, it was only once I came to Spain that helped me become the player I am today. That is why I wanted to repay them, and play for Spain, I feel Spanish now. Roger on the other hand had a better career then me in Brazil, but I doubt many remember that.” said Senna. “He played for the two largest clubs in Brazil, and even Celta de Vigo in Spain. But people only noticed all this because of him playing in the 2008 Euro. Poland opened the door for him, especially Legia which helped him get there.” Added the Spaniard.
