Marek Saganowski has decided that he will stay for another year in England with Championship side, Southampton FC.
Saganowski will still continue to compete for place in Southampton starting XI. The Pole admits his love for the game in England and eagerness to stay longer. Interestingly enough, Saganowski never even wanted to leave for Denmark on loan, even if he would get to play in the UEFA Champions League. Unfortunately, due to Southampton’s financial troubles he had little to no choice but to go along with the plan.
The first half of the season ‘Sagan’ played for Aalborg on loan, where he was able to even score a goal in the UEFA Champions League. After returning to the English islands, the Pole scored two goals in three matches and has announced that has plans of become a key player for the ‘Saints’ again. “When I was sent to Denmark I wasn’t happy because I felt good at Saints. ” Saganowski told BBC press. “I’ve got a year and a half left on my contract here and I want to play for this club.” added the former Legia sniper.
