Hull City boss Phil Brown is eager to sign RSC Anderlecht’s Marcin Wasilewski for a reported 2 million pounds – according to both The Sun and The Times.
The Polish defender is held in a very high regard to the English coach and is the club’s final transfer target for the summer transfer window.
Hull are poised to reinforce their own defense by securing the services of a cheap but effective and experienced defender.
The 29-year-old has already expressed interest to one day playing in the English Premiership.
“Playing in the Premiership is something that every player dreams about,” says Wasilewski.
“If the opportunity for a transfer to England were to arise, I would not think twice about it.” adds the former Lech Poznan player.
Unfortunately, Belgian outfit Anderlecht are not so eager on selling their no-nonsense defender as the lack of a proper replacement remains a problem.
Unless Anderlecht find a replacement for the Polish international by the time the transfer window closes, the capital club has chosen to decline the English bid for the time being.
