CHORZOW, Poland. Jan 07 — West Bromwich Albion FC are interested in acquiring defense starlet Maciej Sadlok. According to various reports Ruch Chorzów have received a letter from England on this issue.
The Blues estimate that their 20-year-old defender is worth at the very least 2 million zł, but everything indicates that the young defender will be staying in Poland. This is because Chorzow does not intend to sell one of it’s most important players, and secondly, the player himself does not want to leave the club.
“In 2012, the European Championships will be here and at this time I want to stay in Poland. I asked my manager for to the next 2.5 years to ignoring offers from abroad,” said Sadlok recently when asked about the potential chance of a transfer abroad.
“Right now I feel very good in Poland, so I don’t see why I should need to leave. I am enjoying my time with Ruch and they want me to stay.”
“About a transfer abroad? I will think about one after the UEFA EURO’s.” adds Sadlok.
WBA are currently playing in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship, but are on their way to promotion back to the elite. After 24 rounds the Baggies take second place in England’s second division.
Italian outfit AC Chievo Verona are also said to be interested in the player.
