No Holland? Russia to play Poland instead

POZNAN, Poland. June 28 (PS) — There has been yet another scheduled friendly change for Poland!

This time concerning opponents Netherlands, who have fallen out, with Russia replacing them.

The friendly match will be played Poznan, Poland at the Stadion Miejski.

News about the change of contracted match came from Polish Football Association (PZPN) director, Jerzy Engel.

The Polish national team led by Franciszek Smuda will arrive in Poznan on November 17.

One month ago the President of the Polish Football Association Grzegorz Lato said that the Bialo-czerwoni would face off against the Dutch.

If, however, the Oranje would have had other plans, Russia would remain in reserve. And it is this second scenario that has been called in.

“Everything would be explained after the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. However, the Dutch already signed a contract for a match to be played with a different national team,” commented Polish Football Association board member and also President of the Football Association of Wielkopolska, Stephen Antkowiak
