PORTO, Portugal. July 3 (PS) — FC Porto have secured the transfer of Pawel Kieszek on an undisclosed value.
The Portuguese giants signed a contract with the reserve Sporting Braga Polish goalkeeper on Friday.
The 26-year-old signed a binding four-year contract with the Dragoes.
Kieszek will begin training at the club from next Friday.
The former KP Polonia Warszawa goalkeeper becomes Porto’s sixth signing and will fight for the starting spot between the posts with Porto’s Beto and Helton.
Rumors of Kieszek joining Porto first appeared last week, while negotiations between both sides were still very active.
In the Portuguese Liga Sagres Kieszek has made 21 appearances. In addition, he also played 8 times in Greece and 25 in Poland.
Southamption FC’s Bartosz Bialkowski is reportedly said to be Kieszek’s new replacement at Braga. This information has yet to be confirmed, but suggest that Bialkowski will sign his contract in the next day.
