WARSAW, Poland. July 11 (PS) — The four teams that participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa – Cameroon, Australia, USA and Mexico – will this year will take on the national team of Poland.
In addition, the Poles will play against their UEFA EURO 2012 co-organizer, Ukraine, and finally with Russia.
On September 4 Poland will meet at the stadium in of Widzew Lodz to play with Ukraine, and three days later against Australia in Krakow.
Then, the Bialo-czerwoni will embark on a training camp in the United States. On October 9 Poland will take on the U.S. team in New York and than later in Chicago they will play against Mexico on October 12.
After returning home to the opening of the stadium in Poznan, November 17, the Polish national team will meet with Russia.
“The team will also take part in a training camp in Turkey, where they will definitely play two matches there, but their opponents are not yet known. We are looking for rather a bit weaker opponents for those matches,” said Andrzej Placzynski, director of Sportfive, who organizes Poland’s friendly fixtures.
Plans for next year are not yet specified according to Sportfive.
“It is certain that we’re playing with against Italy and Germany. When and where, this is not yet known, as well as dates and places of the matches with the other national teams. In the near future everything will be clear.” added Placzynski.
