Karwan rejoins GKS Katowice

KATOWICE, Poland. Sept 5 (PS) — 34-year-old midfielder Bartosz Karwan on Thursday signed a contract with GKS Katowice.

The player returns to the Silesian club after 13 years.

In his career he has made appearances for the Polish national team and two Polish Ekstraklasa championship titles won in colors of Legia Warsaw FC.

Recently he played in the A-class outfit OKS ZET Tychy.

Officials of Katowice and the new coach Wojciech Stawowy expect for the experienced player to help the team out of the current “hole” they have found themselves in.

Katowice did not win a single game in their last 12 official matches, and in the league this season in five rounds only won two points.
