Jedrzejczyk and Kiełb join Poland

WARSAW, Poland. Oct 3 (PS) — Franciszek Smuda has completed his squad for the matches against the USA (9 October) and Ecuador (19 October).

The Polish coach has also sent a call-up to Artur Jedrzejczyk from Legia Warsaw FC and Jacek Kielb from KKS Lech Poznan.

After injury of Grzegorz Wojtkowiak, Smuda really wanted to rely on Dariusz Dudka from AJ Auxerre, but ultimately French club’s coach, Jean Fernandez did not agree to let Dudka leave.

Shortly afterwards it turned out that striker Ireneusz Jelen would not join the team as well, after being confirmed with as injured.

In their place, Smuda has called to Jedrzejczyk and Kielb. The first never before made an appearance on the Polish national team. Meanwhile, the Lech player made his debut for Poland this year. Overall he appeared in two games
