WARSAW, Poland. Mar 18 (PSN) – Euzebiusz Smolarek has been relegated to the reserves of Polonia Warszawa.
On Friday he trained with the Mloda Ekstraklasa team of Polonia for the first time.
According to Polonia’s Mloda Ekstraklasa coach Libor Pala, Ebi presented himself very well around his younger teammates.
“He does what the boss wants,” Pala said about Smolarek, who must play with the Mloda Ekstraklasa side to have any hope of returning to the first team.
“I will inform the board about his performance, but I have no idea for how long I will have Euzebiusz under my team,” adds Pala.
Smolarek was relegated from the first team of Polonia Warszawa by Blackshirts owner Józef Wojciechowski after being called “a huge disappointment” as a first team player. The Polish international had the choice of either lowering his salary earnings, or be booted off the first team.
