WARSAW, Poland. May 14 (PSN) – Emmanuel Olisadebe is now a free agent.
The striker, who years ago enjoyed scoring goals for Polish fans in the white and red jersey revealed that he is waiting for offers from the Ekstraklasa.
In 2000, Olisadebe got a Polish passport and made his debut in a team led by Jerzy Engel. For the white and red he played 25 matches, scoring 11 goals. It is largely due to his goals that Poland played at the World Cup in Korea and Japan in 2002.
In 2004, the Nigerian-Pole striker for the last time played for Polish national team and eventually he disappeared. He played in Greece and Cyprus, and later moved to China, where in 63 games for Henan Construction FC scored 24 goals.
Since 2010, Olisadebe is a free agent.
“At my club (Henan) came in a coach from Korea, who brought in his foreigners, so a few of us had to make room for them. My agent then really slipped up. In China, with the transfer window ended at the tim I could not go to another club,” Oli explains in an interview with Super Express.
Although being a free agent, Olisadebe for a few months could not tie up for free with another club, preferring to wait until the summer.
“I did not want to spoil my name, coming unprepared to the game. I prefer to work in a preparatory period, and show that I am worth a lot.” he explains.
The player argues that he would willingly return to the Polish Premier League, where he really began his career.
“Absolutely. Here it all began. I am open for talks with Polish clubs,” says the former international. But he adds that the only test to which he accepts would be medical tests.
“Certainly not on the basis of a trial: “Hello boy from Africa. Here you have a ball, kick it around for a bit, and show us what you can do.” Such a thing does not interest me, because it can be done for anonymous players who are coming to Europe directly from Africa who no one knows. And I showed everyone already what I am capable. I am less than 33 years old and still a lot to offer.”
