KRAKOW, Poland. May 26 (PSN) – Wiśla Kraków has begun weeding out it’s roster for the upcoming.
Fans can now know that the club will goodbye to at least three players – Maciej Żurawski, Nourdin Boukhari and Serge Branco.
The departure of these three players was announced through the club’s official website from Kraków. In the case of Boukhari and Branco the decision was taken by coach Robert Maaskant. Both were on loan by Wiśla for one year. Thus their contracts will not be renewed.
However, Maciej Żurawski will be parting with the club as he has agreed three weeks ago at a meeting with club chairman Bogdan Basałaj.
“Together with the president we have taken the decision,” he said on the official club website.
Żurawski will say goodbye to the fans of Wiśla in the last match against Polonia Warszawa in the 30th round.
It is also known that the striker will start the match to make for a special farewell.
“We want to win this game, of course, and normally would field the best eleven in which Zurawski has not been able to find himself at this point, but considering what a beautiful career he had, and what he did for Wiśla, I think that he deserves to play from the first minute,” on the official side of Wiśla said Robert Maaskant.
