WARSAW, Poland. July 15 (PSN) – Euzebiusz Smolarek has received permission to leave.
The board of Polonia Warszawa have granted Smolarek the chance to look for a new club, but the player insists to stay.
Interested in the Polish international are several Chinese Super League teams, which may soon begin sending offers to player.
The Chinese Super League, currently known as the Pirelli Chinese Football Association Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier of professional association football in China, operating under the auspices of the Chinese Football Association (CFA).
“The Chinese football market is interested in seeing a player such as Smolarek play in the league. Big name players from Europe are always welcome here,” a Chinese journalist told PSN.
Even if the offer from one of the Chinese clubs is sent to Polonia Warszawa, the player does not intend to consider it.
“I’m not interested in this direction,” the striker told Przegląd Sportowy.
Smolarek was recently ousted from both the first team and the Mloda Ekstraklasa side, because he would not agree to renegotiate his contract with the Blacks Shirts.
