BYTOM, Poland. Jan 3 (PSN) – 1. FC Kaiserslautern have completed the signing of striker Jakub Swierczok from Polish 1 Liga outfit Polonia Bytom.
The Poland U-20 international, who has scored 10 goals in 19 league appearances this season, has signed a contract which will keep him at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion outfit until the summer of 2014.
Among Kaiserslautern was also Polish top flight Wisła Kraków who also bid for the player. Despite their efforts, the choice was made by Świerczok himself after visiting the German club.

“We have scouted Jakub Swierczok very intensively,” The club’s general manager, Stefan Kuntz, told their official website.
“He is a very talented young player with a sound nose for goals,”
“We are absolutely convinced he has the long-term chance to build himself a career in the Bundesliga.”
