WARSAW, Poland. June 11 (PSN) – Legia Warsaw FC has carried out the first transfer before the new season.
The Polish club signed a contract with former Polish international – Marek Saganowski.
For the 33-year-old striker this move is a return to the capital – where he previously played with Legia between 2002-05.
Saganowski signed a one-year contract with the Legion. The agreement will apply from July 1. During a previous stay in the Legion, Saganowski appeared in 93 matches, scoring 50 goals.
The striker last season played in LKS Lodz. He played in 29 matches in which he scored six goals. His team was not able to avoid relegation from the T-Mobile Ekstraklasa.
Saganowski is a youth graduate of LKS Lodz. In his career he also played in Feyenoord Rotterdam, Hamburger SV, Orlen Plock, Odra Wodzislaw, Vitoria Guimaraes, AC Troyes, Southampton FC, AaB Aalborg and Atromitosie Athens.
In the Polish League he played a total amount of 244 matches and scored 83.
