WARSAW, Poland. June 8 (PSN) – Zawisza Bydgoszcz and Cracovia Kraków will play in the T-Mobile Ekstraklasa next season!
Promotion was secured by both sides from winning their away games in the last round 1 league.
Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza buried their chances of promotion after losing to Flota Swinoujscie.
The dramatic finish of the final series of games in the first division made the decision to fight for promotion very tense until to the last minute.
Before Saturday’s matches the chances of promotion and play in the top division had as many as four teams – Zawisza Bydgoszcz, Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza, Flota Swinoujscie and Cracovia.
After nineteen years of absence, Zawisza Bydgoszcz (won 4-0) will return to the Polish Ekstraklasa, and the second team that won promotion is Cracovia Kraków.
The “Belts” only spent one season in the first division.
