SZCZECIN, Poland. February 25 (PSN) – Rafal Murawski was on Tuesday revealed as a Pogon Szczecin player.
The recent KKS Lech Poznan captain signed a 2.5-year contract deal with the port club.
To Szczecin he comes on a free transfer, because the past weekend his contract with the Kolejorz was terminated.
“The Szczecin club gave me the opportunity to play and development,” said Murawski after signing the agreement on the club’s official website.
It is known, however, that ‘Muras’ was not immediately tempted to go to Sszczecin. Pogon have been chasing the midfielder for a few weeks now, but the player refused each time.
The addition of Murawski is a powerful reinforcement to already a strong team led by coach Dariusz Wdowczyk.
Murawski was the mastermind behind Lech Poznan’s midfield, and previously the Polish national team.
After a quarrel with another coach at Lech, Jerzy Cyrak, the player along with team-mate Bartosz Slusarski were relegated from the First Team.
