Roster Call-Ups for Friendly Match Against Lithuania Announced

WARSAW, Poland. May 22 (PSN) – Adam Nawalka has announced the list of players called up for the friendly match with Lithuania, which will be held on June 6 in Gdansk.

The coach surprisingly crossed out Ludovic Obraniak and Eugen Polanski.

“I made some personnel decisions. Thus, in the roster to Lithuania there will be no Ludo Obraniak, Slawomir Peszko or Marcin Robak. Among the established there is also no Eugen Polanski. His lack of preparation to participate in the training camp before the matches against Germany and Lithuania closes his chance to represent the national team,” said Adam Nawalka to PAP.

Nawalka called up for the match with Lithuania  four goalkeepers. In addition to the three goalkeepers , whose appointment is not a surprise , there was also a place for Lukasz Skorupski. The AS Roma player made his debut on May 11 in a Serie A match against Juventus Turin (0:1).  Joining him in the squad are Artur Boruc, Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny.

Furthermore, Nawalka positively evaluated the performance roots of Thiago Cionka in his debut against Germany (0:0).

“He did very well in his first game so I decided to bring him out again, this time however, he will have more competition in defense.”

The training camp before the game with Lithuania will be the last before the start of the 2016 UEFA EURO Qualifiers.

The first competitive match for Adam Nawalka’s team will be held on September 7 in Portugal against Gibraltar.
