GDANSK, Poland. January 22 (PSN) – Sebastian Mila on Thursday signed a contract with Lechia Gdansk.
The agreement with the Tri-City T-Mobile Ekstraklasa side will be in force until the end of June 2018.Mila began his career in Baltyk Koszalin, later soon making a move to Lechia, a club to which he still holds great sentiment for to this day.
As soon as there was indication of the interest from the Gdansk club, he openly declared his desire for the move.
At first it seemed that reaching an agreement with Slask Wroclaw was not possible, due to the large financial differences at the negotiation table.
The case, however, gained momentum in the last few days and on Wednesday the club announced that Mila went to pass his medical test in Gdansk.
Due to the late hour of their execution, the signing of the contract was postponed to the next day. Finally, on Thursday, the Polish international’s dream came true and after many years he has returned to his roots as a Lechia player.
Both sides agreed on a deal that will be valid until the end of June 2018.
Mila has played for Slask Wroclaw since 2008. In the Silesian colors he played 210 matches, scoring 39 goals and recording 84 assists. His greatest achievement with the club was to win the 2012 Polish Ekstraklasa Championship.
