KONIN, Poland. March 1 (PSN) – Ewa Pajor’s time in the Ekstraliga Kobiet will soon be coming to an end.
The Polish striker has caught the attention of VfL Wolfsburg, who expects to sign the 18-year-old star at the end of the current season.
Pajor is considered one of the greatest rising talents in women’s football, often being nicknamed the “female Messi”.
Right now she is currently attached to local side KKPK Medyk Konin in the largely amateur Ekstraliga Kobiet. However, at the end of this season she will sign with the two-time winner of the Women’s UEFA Champions League – VfL Wolfsburg.
“This is one of the best clubs in the world and in Europe. I decided it was time to raise the bar higher and play in a better club.” Ewa Pajor told local media “TVN24” after making the decision on the jump to professional football.
“But as long as I am still under contract with Medyk Konin then my plans for the next six months are to win the league championship and Polish Cup.”
Konin president and coach Roman Jaszczak is excited for his star player and has stated that he does not intend to block her dream transfer.
However, he has made it clear that the interests of his club must be well-recognized.
“In my opinion we should receive a good compensation for Ewa,”
“We will do everything so the deal is an appropriate agreement and the best female player in Europe transfer to the German club in a civilized manner.”
Pajor has previously been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
