KRAKOW, Poland. March 16 (PSN) – Semir Stilic has been called up by Mehmed Bazdarevic to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national side.
The Wisla Krakow midfielder has a chance to play in an upcoming qualifier on the national team of his country.
Bosnia and Herzegovina are gearing up to take on Andorra on March 28 in a qualifying match for the UEFA EURO 2016. Three days later the team will meet in Vienna where they will play against Austria in an exhibition match.
Stilic has had a successful autumn round in the T-Mobile Ekstraklasa.
Meanwhile, in the first four games of the spring round the “White Star” playmaker failed to shine, but on Sunday’s match with Legia Warsaw he showed his class and why he is considered the best technical midfielder in the league.
It was thanks to the brilliance of the Bosnian midfielder which helped the struggling Wisla to almost overcome the Polish champions in Warsaw.
Regardless, it is still undetermined if whether Stilic will remain in Wisla colours for next season. This due to the fact that Wisla have still yet to extend his expiring contract.
“I still have three months left on my the contract with Wisla. We are talking about an extension, but I do not want to reveal the details.” said Stilic when asked on his contract situation.
“Right now I only want to focus on my game, as I do not want people saying that I am only thinking about my contract. I feel great at Wisla,”
In addition, Wisla defender Richard Guzmics has also been called up for Hungary for the upcoming UEFA EURO 2016 Qualifier against Greece.
Lech Poznan’s Tamas Kadar and Gergo Lovrencsics were another pair of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa players also called up by Hungary for the match.
