GDANSK, Poland. May 28 (PSN) – Hamburger SV wants to buy Lechia Gdansk stopper Rafal Janicki – reports “Fakt”.
The final decision on whether the transfer will go through or not will be taken until June.
Reasons for this are based all based on HSV’s performance back in Germany.
First, the club from Hamburg has to manage to stay in the Bundesliga. HSV soon await play-offs with Karlsruher SC.
The 23-year-old defender dreams of playing in the Bundesliga, but he is also closely watched by scouts from Celtic FC.
The Scots this season were already at a few Lechia matches to watch Janicki, with the player himself admitted excited about the prospect to play at Celtic Park.
Belgian side KAA Gent is also interested in the Lechista.
The defender still has an agreement with the Gdansk club valid until June 30 2016.
Janicki is the primary defensive wall of Lechia which strongly has attracted interest from Poland coach Adam Nawalka as well. He has been called up but has yet to make his debut for the national team.
