GDANSK, Poland. September 1 (PSN) – Lechia Gdansk have been busy on the final day of the transfer window.
The northern Ekstraklasa club completed several last-minute big transfers which will surely strengthen its underachieving team.
The first big name transfer is of Slawomir Peszko. The winger joins from FC Koeln , signing a 3-year contract deal with Lechia.
“Lechia had the most concrete offer and were really persistent in getting me. I figured if someone really wants to get you that bad, you should take advantage of the opportunity.” said Peszko after signing with the club.
In addition, Lechia also signed midfielders Michal Chrapek and Aleksandar Kovacevic. Chrapek, an offensive midfielder recently played for Calcio Catania in Italy. Kovacevic, coming from Red Star Belgrade on the other hand is a defensive midfielder.
A few days earlier the Baltic club announced the signing of Milos Krasic, who at one point in his career was named by FourFourTwo as one of the 100 best players in the world.
