WARSAW, Poland. September 6 (PSN) – Polish national team coach Adam Nawalka will be without two players for the upcoming UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier with Gibraltar – Lukasz Piszczek and Karol Linetty.
Both players will miss the next game due to being eliminated by injury.
Piszczek injured himself in the match on Friday against Germany. The right-back had a grimace of pain on his face as he left the field before the end of the first half of the match.
It turned out that the injury is so serious that the Borussia Dortmund player will not be able to take part in the match against Gibraltar.
Piszczek injured his adductor muscle. It is not yet known how long of a break he will take to recover.
Nawalka also decided to return Karol Linetty. The Lech Poznan midfielder suffered a head injury in one training session before the match with Germany.
Initially it seemed that by the match with Gibraltar he would recover, but in the end it turned out that all the time he was feeling the effects of trauma. Ultimately, there was no point in risking his health in keeping him at camp.
