Skorza Determined Not to Quit while Lech have No Contingency Plan

POZNAN, Poland. October 4 (PSN) – Maciej Skorza has no plans on resigning from his post as Lech Poznan’s manager anytime soon.

Despite sitting last place in the Ekstraklasa standings, the Polish coach is sticking to his guns and not giving in to the public outcry for his dismissal.

On Sunday the Polish champions continued their abysmal performance with a 2:5 loss with Cracovia Krakow.

After 11 rounds in the Ekstraklasa the Kolejorz only hold 5 points on their account but Skorza believes anything is still possible.

“In the coaching profession you must be prepared for all eventualities. I’m certainly not feeling comfortable. Our results are far below expectations.” said coach Maciej Skorza in a press conference.

“The situation can develop in any direction, that is what I am still considering.” he added.

Furthermore, Skorza stressed that he is not thinking about resigning from his position.

“I do not want to talk about my future. Please, football questions only.”

Fortunately for Skorza, Lech Poznan have completely no contingency plan. Only now is the club frantically searching for whom they could replace him with. Among the most likely candidates include the names of Jan Urban and Jan Kocian.

Both are well-known coaches in the Polish football market but not without their flaws. Urban won the title with Legia Warsaw but recently struggled to keep his position in the Spanish second division as the coach of CA Osasuna.

On the other hand Kocian is known as the “miracle worker of Chorzow”, where he took Ruch from the relegation zone to finish third place. He was also on the verge of qualifying for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Recently he also leaves behind him a failed episode. After only a few months of work he was released from Pogon Szczecin where he achieved miserable results.

With that said Lech will also be taking into account foreign candidates.

For now in Poznan there is only chaos and no one at the moment unable to answer when it wills top. One thing is for sure, nothing can get any worse.
