FLORENCE, Italy. October 22 (PSN) – Both Legia Warsaw and Lech Poznan took part in the UEFA Europa League group stage match day on Thursday.

Legia were held to a 1:1 stalemate to Club Brugge while Lech shocked with a 2:1 upset victory with Fiorentina.

Lech Poznan won 2:1 (0:0) with Italian side Fiorentina and clinched their first victory in this year’s UEFA Europa League group stage. Goals for the Kolejorz came from reserves Dawid Kownacki and Maciej Gajos, Giuseppe Rossi scored the lone goal for the home team at the end of the match. Poznan now hold four points after three rounds and occupy second place in Group I.

In the third match of the UEFA Europa League group stage Legia Warsaw drew 1:1 (0:1) with Club Brugge. After a disastrous first half for the Polish team, Brugge looked very dominant and were awarded with a goal for their efforts. After the break Stanislav Cherchesov’s side managed to rebuild and tie the result. However, neither side could break the deadlock afterwards.
