NEW YORK, United States. March 16 (PSN) – On Wednesday in New York City, Nike unveiled the latest uniforms for the UEFA EURO 2016.
The event was a grand scale world premiere of Nike’s latest products. Out of these products were the uniforms in which the bialo-czerwoni will feature in June at the European Championships in France. At first glance, the design is simple and quite traditional. After the emblem scandal a few years ago, there was no doubt that the chest must remain unchanged with the Polish White Eagle emblem. And it was well emphasized during the presentation.
“We know how important the White Eagle is for Polish history and heritage. We made sure that the national emblem stood on the left side of the shirt. We also added the symbol on the set of shorts. The most interesting challenge was the introduction of graphical elements on the front. The pattern is a reference to the wings of an eagle. It’s an interesting element, speaking to a young team spirit. We also wanted to emphasize the offensive and modern style of play the Polish national team.” Scott Munson, vice president of Nike Football Apparel told Onet.pl.
The new national team uniforms will debut in the coming friendly matches against Serbia (March 23, Poznan) and Finland (March 26, Wroclaw).
During the upcoming training camp the Poland players will participate in a photo shoot, among other marketing duties for Nike.
The Poland Nike 2016/2017 jersey will go on sale on March 24. It will be first available on Nike’s website, then later in shops all over Poland.
