Lithuania Hold Off Poland in Krakow

KRAKOW, Poland. June 6 (PSN) – In their last exhibition match before the start of the UEFA EURO 2016 on Friday, the Poland national team encountered a goalless draw in Krakow with Lithuania.

Final score: Poland – Lithuania 0:0

Poland continue to disappoint their fans with yet another weak outing. On the weekend the Poles were defeated by the Netherlands 2:1 but many expected that a win over Lithuania would make up for that loss.

In reality, Adam Nawalka’s team put in a more flimsy performance on Monday.

With Robert Lewandowski being pulled out of the starting line-up in order to be rested, the Polish offense lacked any real sort of danger in the game and failed to score with the absence of their star striker.

The closest who came to a game winning goal was Jakub Blaszczykowski, but he was unable to convert his chance after his shot hit the post.

Poland begin their UEFA EURO 2016 campaign against Northern Ireland on Sunday.
