NAPLES, Italy. July 29 (PSN) – Arkadiusz Milik has left the Netherlands to play for SSC Napoli after Ajax Amsterdam have accepted the offer to sell the Pole.
The Lancers accepted Napoli’s €25 million bid (plus €5 million bonus) to bring Milik to the Serie A.
The 22-year-old striker is expected to fill in the boots of Gonzalo Higuain, who moved to Juventus FC for a huge sum this summer.
Although Ajax Amsterdam originally asserted on their website that Milik would still play for the club next season, it seems that the gigantic offer placed for the Polish sniper was too much not to tempt the Dutch after all.
Milik has been a player for Ajax since July 2014. Earlier he defended colours of Bayer Leverkusen, Augsburg, and Gornik Zabrze.
Last season the Pole appeared in 31 Eredivisie matches. He scored 21 goals in them and Ajax took third place thanks to his prowess in front of the net.
His contract with Napoli will be valid for three years.
