UEFA U21: Poles Set to Play Slovakia, Sweden and England

KRAKOW, Poland. December 1 (PSN) – The draw for the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was held in Krakow on Thursday which revealed each of the three groups.

The Bialo-czerwoni, as hosts, found themselves in Group A and will compete up against the likes of England, Slovakia, and Sweden (defending champion).

The tournament will be held June of next year in Poland.

Group A (Kielce, Lublin)

Sweden (defending champion)

Round 1 – June 16

Poland – Slovakia (Lublin)
Sweden – England (Kielce)

Round 2 – June 19

Poland – Sweden (Lublin)
Slovakia – England (Kielce)

Round 3 – June 22

England – Poland (Kielce)
Slovakia – Sweden (Lublin)


Group B (Gdynia, Bydgoszcz)


Round 1 – June 17

Portugal – Serbia (Bydgoszcz)
Spain – Macedonia (Gdynia)

Round 2 – June 20

Portugal – Spain (Gdynia)
Serbia – Macedonia (Bydgoszcz)

Round 3 – June 23

Macedonia – Portugal (Gdynia)
Serbia – Spain (Bydgoszcz)


Group C (Tychy, Kraków)

Czech Republic

Round 1 – June 18,

Germany – Czech Republic (Tychy)
Denmark – Italy (Krakow)

Round 2 – June 21

Germany – Denmark (Krakow)
Czech Republic – Italy (Tychy)

Round 3 – June 24

Italy – Germany (Krakow)
Czech Republic – Denmark (Tychy)

The winning teams of each group will advance to the semi-finals along with the best runner-up.


Semifinals (Tychy, Kraków) – June 27

1A – 2BC / 1C (Kracow)
1B – 2A / 1C (Tychy)

Final (Krakow) – June 30
