WARSAW, Poland. December 13 (PSN) – On Monday night in Nyon, Switzerland UEFA held the draw for round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League.
Legia Warsaw will face off with Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam. The Legionista’s will play the first leg at home before flying to the Netherlands to finish off the round.
The round of 32 matches will be held from February 16 and 23.
Ajax are the vice champions of the Netherlands, they played in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, where they eliminated PAOK. In the next round they lost in aggregate to FK Rostov.
They afterwards won their group in the UEFA Europa League, which featured the likes of Panathinaikos, Standard Liege and Celta de Vigo.
In the current season, the Dutch are second place in the Eredivisie. In 16 games they have accumulated 36 points.
Neither teams are strangers to each other as both have squared off recently in Europe.
In the 2014/2015 edition of the UEFA Europa League, Ajax won 4:0 on aggregate and knocked out the Polish club from the Round of 32.
