ARLAMOW, Poland. June 13 (PSN) – With Karol Linetty being the last player to join the U21 team in Arlamow, Marcin Dorna’s side is finally tournament ready.

The UC Sampdoria’s midfielder played 72 minutes in Saturday’s 3:1 victory over Romania at PGE National for the men’s national team.

On Saturday and Sunday, coach Marcin Dorna gave his players a bit of free time. The bialo-czerwoni had a Saturday afternoon and evening all to themselves, along with Sunday morning. During the weekend, Tomasz Kedzior, the team captain, celebrated his 23rd birthday. Later, the team went for alternative training.

On Monday the U21 had their first real complete practice session in Arlamow.

Poland, who are hosting the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship will begin the tournament on Friday with an opener against Slovakia.

The main stars of the U21 Polish team will be Krystian Bielik (Arsenal FC), Bartosz Kapustka (Leicester City FC), Karol Linetty (UC Sampdoria) and Mariusz Stepinski (FC Nantes).

“In the first week of the camp the key word was individualization. We tried to adjust the load individually so that the players were in optimum form no matter how much they played. It’s obvious that every minute spent by our players on the pitch in the league games, every goal or assists make them happy, and on the other hand, the lack of match rhythm can be a worry. It is, however, a characteristic thing for the young national team.” said Marcin Dorna at the U21 training camp.

“We are now starting our preparations for our first UEFA EURO U21 match against Slovakia later this week, and look forward to a good tournament,”
