Lech Poznan Finalize Barkroth Signing

POZNAN, Poland. June 19 (PSN) – Nicklas Barkroth, after a successful medical test, officially became a Lech Poznan player.

The contract with the Swedish midfielder will be run until June 2021.

“I admit that bringing Nicklas was one of our priorities for this transfer window and signing the contract is very good news for us,” says Lech Poznan CEO Karol Klimczak.

“Barkroth is one of the best Swedish swingers in the league, having both championship titles and performances for the Sweden national team. His attitude to the game, offensive and aggressive disposition will surely appeal to the Poznan public.”

The 25-year-old comes to Kolejorz on a final transfer basis. Since 2008, Barkroth has represented IFK Norrkoping, the current Swedish league vice-champion. Previously the winger also appeared in IFK Goeteborg, IF Brommapojkarna and Uniao de Leira.

He also has six national team appearances for Sweden.
