WARSAW, Poland. June 19 (PSN) – Once considered a great talent, today he is looking for stability in playing time and his services have been offered to Legia Warsaw.
Robert Acquafresca could sign with the Polish Champions, although he is not necessarily sought out by the club.
“Recently we were asked whether we are interested in Acquafresca, who – as we were told – was or is willing to play in Poland. However, we did not take the discussion further. It was not even about the money, we’re just looking elsewhere for our options, ” a member of the club told Super Express.
Once upon a time, Robert Acquafresca was considered a player with high potential. In 2009 he was even valued at 10 million euros. Furthermore, he was also considered to play in the Polish national team (as mother comes from Poland, Ewa Murkowska). Eventually, however, he did not decide on accepting the offer from the Polish FA, the PZPN and the then coach Leo Beenhakker.
The career of a 29-year-old striker has since then not gone as expected. He spent the last six months in Ternana Calcio, scoring six Serie B appearances and failed to find the back of the net.
