MOSCOW, Russia. June 19 (PSN) – The line-up that Poland will deploy for their opening group stage match with Senegal in the 2018 FIFA World Cup has been revealed.
Based on the setup, Poland manager Adam Nawalka will be expecting to play a very offensive minded game against the African side.
Poland’s line-up: Szczęsny – Piszczek, Pazdan, Cionek, Rybus – Błaszczykowski, Krychowiak, Zieliński, Grosicki – Milik, Lewandowski
Due to the offensive nature of this line-up, Nawalka has decided in playing only one defensive midfielder, Grzegorz Krychowiak. A far cry to Poland’s tried and proven two defensive midfielder play from UEFA EURO 2016, which saw Krychowiak play successfully together with Krzysztof Maczynski
Meanwhile, Arkadiusz Milik will pair up with Robert Lewandowski upfront for the attack.
As for defense, Thiago Cionek (SPAL) will play for the injured Kamil Glik. Cionek will partner up with Michal Pazdan in the middle of the defense.
Glik was originally hoping to play in the game, but a last minute decision saw Nawalka opt against it.
