NYON, Switzerland. June 20 (PSN) – LOTTO Ekstraklasa clubs on Wednesday learned who their opposition will be in the upcoming UEFA Europa League qualifiers.
Gornik Zabrze and Lech Poznan will start their European campaign in the First qualifying round, while Jagiellonia Bialystok will play theirs later in the Second qualifying round.
Gornik will play Moldovan outfit Zaria Balti in the First qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. If they win, then in the next phase they will face the winner of the Budvarnost FK (Montenegro) – AS Trencin (Slovakia) match up. The first game will likely be played at home in Zabrze.
Lech Poznan, who took third place in the domestic league standings will also take part in the First qualifying round where they will face off against Gandzasar Kapan (Armenia). If they make it through then in the next phase of qualifying they will play the winner between Connah’s Quay Nomads FC (Wales) – Shakhari Soligorsk (Belarus). Its likely that the Kolejorz will play their first match away.
The First qualifying round matches will take place on July 12 and 19.
Jagiellonia Bialystok instead will play later on in the Second qualifying round and face off against Portuguese side Rio Ave FC. The Polish vice-champions will play the first game at home.
The Second qualifying round matches will take place on July 26 and August 2.
