Bolton Wanderers Sign Free Agent Pawel Olkowski

BOLTON, England. July 10 (PSN) – Former Poland international Pawel Olkowski has became the latest acquisition by the Bolton Wanderers.

The 28-year-old signed a two-year contract on Tuesday that will see him with the English club until June 30, 2020.

Olkowski joins Bolton on a free transfer basis after his contract with FC Koln had expired at the end of June. Previously, there was serious interest in him from Lech Poznan. However, a transfer to Poznan was only possible on the condition that wing-back Robert Gumny had his transfer finalized to Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bundesliga outfit pulled out of the transfer in the last minute which also ended Lech’s bidding for Olkowski as Gumny’s replacement.

Olkowski’s official presentation for Bolton is set to take place on Thursday.
