The lower leagues in England, Germany and France begun the 2018/2019 season with Polish players all making a big mark already in the first matchday. Meanwhile, things got heated in Moscow as the Polish duo at Lokotomiv begun their Russian Premier League season with a daunting derby with Spartak Moscow. See the full report below on the Poles who played abroad over the weekend.

England

Championship:
Bartosz Bialkowski (Ipswich FC) – Ipswich Town with Bartosz Bialkowski in net drew at home with Blackburn 2:2.

Mateusz Klich (Leeds United) – Mateusz Klich scored a goal in Leeds United – Stoke City 3:1. The 28-year-old recorded 76 minutes of play.

Pawel Olkowski (Bolton Wanderers) – Pawel Olkowski made his debut in the Championship for Bolton and won away with West Bromwich Albion 2:1.

Austria:

Martin Pajaczkowski (Floridsdorfer AC) – Martin Pajaczkowski played the full 90 minutes in Floridsdorfer AC – Kapfenberg SV 0:2.

Bulgaria:

Daniel Kajzer (Botev) – Daniel Kajzer earned a clean sheet in Botev Plovdiv – Etar 2:0.

Jakub Swierczok (Ludogorets Razgrad) – Took part in Ludogorets’s 0:1 loss to PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv. Swierczok appeared at the 81th minute.

Jacek Goralski (Ludogorets Razgrad) – Jacek Goralski spent the whole match on the reserve bench.

China:

Super Liga:
Adrian Mierzejewski (Changchun Yatai FC) – Adrian Mierzejewski recorded 90 minutes in Changchun Yatai – Shanghai Shenhua 1:1.

Croatia:

1. Liga:
Damian Kadzior (Dinamo Zagrzeb) – Damian Kadzior made his debut for Dinamo Zagreb. The Pole’s club won its away match with NK Istra 3:0. The 26-year-old midfielder was subbed in at the 65th minute.

Lukasz Zwolinski (HNK Gorica) – Lukasz Zwolinski scored twice in HNK Gorica – NK Slaven 3:3. The Polish striker played 81 minutes in the draw.

Michal Maslowski (HNK Gorica) – Michal Maslowski did not find himself included in the match squad.

Denmark:

Kamil Wilczek (Brondby) – Kamil Wilczek scored a goal in Brondby – Nordsjaelland 2:0. The Pole found himself on the score sheet at the 38th minute and played the full 90 minutes.

France:

Damien Perquis (Gazelec Ajaccio) – Damien Perquis recorded 90 minute in Auxerre – GFC Ajaccio 2:3.

Krzysztof Kaminski (Jubilo Iwata) – Jubilo with Krzysztof Kaminski in net won at home with Vegalta Sendai 3:2.
