LOTTO Ekstraklasa Round 9: Wdowiak Brace Ends Cracovia’s Unwinnable Streak

KRAKOW, Poland. September 24 (PSN) – Cracovia Krakow ended their unwinnable streak over the weekend on the ninth round of the 2018/2019 LOTTO Ekstraklasa season.

With an awful start to the season, things were looking disastrous for the Pasy who found themselves dead last after 8 games in. The team failed to create convincing goal chances, struggled to score goals and coach Michal Probierz even saw himself suspended for a few games due to his sideline misbehavior. However, Cracovia’s run of bad luck finally came to an end on Saturday. As the Malopolska outfit played the best game of their season and won at home with Wisla Plock  3:1. Mateusz Wdowiak’s brace both started and ended the goal scoring of the game, putting Cracovia in the lead already in the 8th minute and to later score his second in the 84th. Probierz’s side still have a long way to go to leave the relegation zone, but they’ll happily take this as start of change to come.
