LOTTO Ekstraklasa Round 31 (Playoffs): Legia Back on Top

WARSAW, Poland. April 22 (PSN) – Legia Warsaw have returned back to first place in the thirty-first round of the 2018/2019 LOTTO Ekstraklasa season.

Carlitos’s penalty goal in the fifth minute of added time was the game decider in Legia’s first playoff fixture 1:0 win against Cracovia Krakow in the Champions playoff group on Holy Saturday. Legia’s victory was sweetened with news of Lechia Gdansk, who have commanded first place for majority of the season, ended up losing points at home to Piast Gliwice in a 0:2 defeat. With destiny now back in their hands, the capital city club will have to continue winning the remainder of their playoff games in order to keep the title away from the Gdansk outfit.
