GLIWICE, Poland. August 23 (PSN) – As announced on SS Lazio’s official website, the Biancocelesti have officially signed Patryk Dziczek.
The defensive midfielder has left the ranks of Piast Gliwice after winning the Polish championship last season. His contract with Piast was valid until June 2020, with an opportunity to extend the contract for another two years.
However, the Silesian club has instead opted to sell the 21-year-old for a reported fee of €2 million. This is the second big sale from Piast this summer, with Joel Valencia being shipped off to Brentford FC in July.
Dziczek has signed a five-year deal with the Rome based club but will not stay there for long, as he will be immediately loaned out to US Salernitana in the Serie B for the 2019/20 season.
