PKO Ekstraklasa Round 17: Lechia See Wisla’s Losing Streak Continue

KRAKOW, Poland. Dec 2 (PSN) – Wisla Krakow continue their nine game losing streak after encountering Lechia Gdansk in the seventeenth round of the 2019/2020 PKO Ekstraklasa season.

Wisla played much better on Sunday than in their previous matches, but it was not even enough to end their terrible streak. They started the match very bravely, with faith that this would be the game where their luck would change. Artur Skowronek’s side were clearly the more offensive minded team, and despite missing some chances it looked as they would be first to take the lead. However, Lechia soon then spotted a gap in Wisla’s defense and Flavio Paixao found the back of the net in the 32nd. This forced Wisla to pressure even higher, firing at Lechia’s net from all cylinders but the results were fruitless. After the half, Lechia started playing more conservatively to keep their lead, allowing Wisla to stay on the attack. Despite this, the White Star still were unable to find a way back into the game.
