PKO Ekstraklasa Round 22: Lech Stunned by Cracovia

KRAKOW, Poland. February 17 (PSN) – Lech Poznan had their undefeated streak ended by Cracovia in the twenty second round of the 2019/2020 PKO Ekstraklasa season.

Cracovia won 2:1 at home on Sunday night with Lech. The visitors at first looked like the stronger side, taking the lead themselves in the 23rd minute with a goal from Kamil Jozwiak in the penalty box. Lech had control of the first half and it seemed there would be little chance of that changing. However, after the break, Cracovia made up for their weak performance and redoubled their efforts. Michal Probierz’s team in the 47th minute eventually equalized after a strike from Kamil Pestka ricocheted off Lech defender Lubomir Satka and went into the net. The Stripes then cemented their win in the 68th, where Sergiu Hanca converted a penalty kick to see his side get a second goal. Cracovia now sit in second place, leveling leaders Legia Warsaw with 42 points.
