LYON, France. June 21 (PSN) – Maciej Rybus landed in France this week where he will complete his long awaited transfer this summer window.
The Polish international passed his medical and on Tuesday will sign a contract with Olympique Lyon.
Rybus arrived in France together with his agent, Mariusz Piekarski, who will help finalize the personal player contract.
Among Lyon, Besiktas JK and Inter Milan were some of the clubs interested in the Pole’s services.
Notably, Rybus suffered a shoulder injury in his last match for Russian side Terek Grozny. With the injury he still joined the Poland national team training camp for UEFA EURO 2016 in Arłamow, but the pain prevented him from taking part in the practices.
The 26-year-old rather than going to France, went to Lodz, where he underwent an intensive rehabilitation.
Had Rybus encountered any trouble finding a new club then there was always a one-year contract extension offer from Terek on the table waiting for him.
