PKO Ekstraklasa Round 5: Wisla Demolish Newly Promoted LKS Lodz

KRAKOW, Poland. Aug 19 (PSN) – Wisla Krakow shook newly promoted side LKS Lodz in the fifth round of the 2019/2020 PKO Ekstraklasa season.

The return of Wisla legend and current LKS Lodz coach, Kazimierz Moskal, to Krakow was not one that he could had ever imagined for. LKS suffered a severe defeat at the Reymonta, with the White Star celebrating an impressive 4:0 victory to bring the team back to winning ways. The first goal for the hosts came in the 23rd minute by veteran striker Pawel Brozek, and then another just before the break, where David Niepsuj headed the ball in during a corner kick. It was much of the same in the second half. Vukan Savicevic added himself to the Wisla goal list after scoring from a distance in the 61st minute, while Brozek put the final nail in the coffin just before the final whistle to make it 4. After 5 rounds, LKS now find themselves struggling and in the relegation zone. Wisla Krakow on the other hand are doing better than expected and remain in the top half of the standings.
